Responding to Jeremy Corbyn's announcement for a compulsory licensing system for vital drugs and a new publicly-owned drugs manufacturer, Scottish Labour health spokesperson Monica Lennon said:
"This is a brilliant new progressive policy that will transform the lives of patients across Scotland.
"Medicines should always be available to patients based on need, and not based on the whims and profit motives of pharmaceutical companies.
"Labour will guarantee patients access the drugs they need.
"This is another example of how a socialist UK will be far better for people than a separate Scotland."
