Commenting on the COSLA “Wellbeing of Scotland’s Citizens at Risk” press release, Scottish Labour Local Government Spokesperson, Sarah Boyack, said:
“Across Scotland local councils are feeling the strain of budget cuts. The existence of waiting lists for elderly care and the long waits experienced by those seeking mental health support should shame the government into action.
“This is why COSLA’S demand for a fair deal for local government in this year’s budget is so vital.
“ The cuts to local government and the falling standards that harm those most in need must end; Scottish Labour stands shoulder to shoulder with COSLA in demanding a fair deal for local communities.”
